How the sums work
SampleFor the family in the calculator above. The same sums make every invoice in this demo.
- Sessions each week: Mon, Tue, Wed full day, 31.5 hours for £204.00.
- Over the year: £204.00 a week for 51 weeks makes £10,404.00.
- Funded hours: 1140 hours a year, valued at the hourly rate of your sessions, take off £7,382.86.
- Total for the year: £3,021.14, split into 12 equal payments of £251.76 a month.
Funded hours, in short
Families in England can get government-funded childcare hours. Some hours are for working families, from 9 months old. Every 3 and 4 year old can get 15 hours.
Funding starts the term after your child reaches the age for it, so a birthday in October means funding from January.
Funded hours cover 38 weeks a year. Use them in term time, or stretch them more thinly across the 51 weeks we are open.
Funded hours are valued at the hourly rate of your booked sessions.

Questions
Do I pay for funded hours?
No. Funded hours are taken off your bill at the hourly rate of the sessions you book. You pay for the hours that are left.
Do I have to pay for consumables?
No. Consumables are always optional and are off unless you choose them. Funded hours never depend on them.
When are invoices due?
Invoices arrive at the start of each month and are due by the 7th of the month.
What if I pay late?
You get a friendly reminder in your inbox. No interest or late fees are ever added.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, once, on your first invoice: £50 registration fee.
Is this real?
Stackwood is a fictional nursery, so these figures are samples. The sums are real, though: invoices in the demo use exactly the same maths.
