How this demo works
Stackwood Day Nursery is fictional. The booking, accounts, fees, letters and staff tools really work, inside a private demo that belongs to your browser.
Your demo
You do not have a demo yet. It starts the first time you save something: hold a visit time, create an account or explore as the sample parent.
Your demo has an account, so resetting or deleting it needs you to log in first.
What is real
- Accounts and logins, with your password stored only as a one-way hash.
- Visit times, holds and bookings: two people can never take the same place.
- Session plans, waiting lists, offers, extra sessions and absences.
- Fees, funded hours and invoices, worked out with the same rules everywhere.
- The staff view: switch to Staff on the bar at the top and answer your own requests.
What is not
- The nursery, its staff, its children and its families. Details with a dotted underline are samples.
- Email and texts. Every letter lands in your demo inbox instead, marked as a demo.
- Money. Pay buttons say (demo), nobody asks for card details and nothing is charged.
- Interest or late fees. There are none, in the demo or anywhere in the design.
Your account lives in this browser
Demo accounts work only in the browser where they were made. Logging in needs that browser’s private demo, so nobody can find out which emails other visitors used. Clearing this site’s data, a private window or another device starts a new demo.
Privacy in short
- Your demo is private: nobody else can see it, and you cannot see anyone else’s.
- It closes 30 days after it starts, or after 2 days away if you never made an account, and is erased soon after.
- No analytics, no tracking and no outside scripts or fonts.
- Please use made-up details. Never enter real medical, allergy or contact details.
Need a hand?
- Where are my emails?
- In your inbox. Nothing is ever emailed.
- How do I see the nursery’s side?
- Choose Staff on the View as switch at the top of any account page. Choose Parent to come back.
- Something looks stuck.
- Reset demo puts the nursery back to how it started and keeps your account.
- I want everything gone now.
- Use Delete my demo now in Settings, or Leave this demo on this device. Both erase it straight away.
- I cannot log in.
- Make sure you are in the browser where you made the account. If you forgot the password, ask for a reset link.
